This full-day workshop will equip volunteers with the essential skills to support domestic violence survivors in obtaining Civil Protection Orders through two DCVLP volunteer opportunities. The morning session will focus on learning how to help draft a petition for a CPO in a clinic setting. In the afternoon, participants will delve deeper, learning how to represent survivors in protection order cases, gaining practical knowledge and confidence to advocate effectively in court and tips on litigating in a remote setting.

Lunch: 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM
Session 2: Civil Protection Order Cases: Legal Framework and Remote Litigation Strategies for Representing Survivors (12:30 PM – 2:30 PM)
