On behalf of everyone at DCVLP, we want to recognize and express our appreciation for each volunteer attorney who was recently named in the 2022 Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll. Pro bono attorneys play a critical role in alleviating the severe hardships faced by survivors and their families, especially as our community navigates ongoing economic challenges, a growing housing crisis, and reduced access to public resources. Because of you, thousands of DC residents who cannot afford an attorney are able to escape violence each year.

As lawyers, we share an ethical obligation to ensure that all members of our society can obtain necessary legal services. We are honored that so many of you have chosen to carry out this call to service by volunteering with DCVLP.  Our clients are fortunate to have such truly extraordinary attorneys who are dedicated to making access to justice a reality. Thank you for sharing our belief that a life free from violence and abuse is a basic human right.
